    The Challenge

    GCS is a Specialist Recruitment Consultancy that represents both permanent and contract candidates. Recognised as a leading supplier of top tier professionals, GCS works with some of the UK's largest companies, and a diverse range of SMEs.

    Founded in 1989, GCS has over 20 years recruiting experience, a staff of highly skilled consultants and a proven track record in recruitment.

    GCS contacted Innergy, following a personal recommendation, to help support their Senior Managers with the development of key financial training, as well as review and support the implementation of their in-house learning and development strategy.

    The Solution

    Following a series of pre-training meetings, we designed and delivered a tailored training programme aligned to the needs of the business and the individual employees on the programme which was delivered on site at GCS’ head office in London.

    A strategy session was also facilitated with key managers within the business to analyse and re-engineer some of the current learning and development initiatives across GCS and a series of follow up actions we agreed to help support the implementation of a new development process.

    The training programme designed for GCS was supported by the integration of a Talent Hub™ within the business. Housing the training content as well as acting as an intranet, the Talent Hub™ allows GCS to support their Senior Managers, and all employees, with their learning and development by offering a centralised and standardised training programme for all level of employees.

    The Outcome

    The programme was referred to as ”spot-on” by the Senior Management team who also commented how the delivery was facilitated ”in an engaging manner, pitched at the right speed for the attendees as well as taking on board our own business terminology”.

    A new strategy is already being developed to improve the learning and development part of the business, including new starters’ inductions, and new training content is being rolled out across other areas of the business.
