    The Challenge

    Penta Consulting provides world class contract, interim and permanent recruitment solutions placing high calibre technical professionals across the telecommunications marketplace in over 85 countries.

    Recognising the crucial role their staff play in the success of the organisation, they have been awarded ‘extraordinary’ workplace status by Best Companies and in 2011 ranked 14th in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For. As the organisation continues to grow, it became critical to further develop the leadership skills of the middle and senior management teams and as such, Penta interviewed and assessed a number of training specialists ultimately electing to utilise Innergy exclusively to work alongside the management team to drive through best practice leadership across the business and continue to maintain their “extraordinary workplace” status.

    The Solution

    We spent an extended amount of time on site with Penta, assessing the business, the culture and getting to really understand the individuals that made up the management team.

    Alongside this face to face analysis, a series of online 360° assessments were completed and a comprehensive report of recommendations was submitted to Penta board, including the content overview of a six month leadership development programme for 25 of their management team.

    Finally, to support the initiative, a unique online learning management and training system, the Talent Hub™ was built for Penta employees to help drive forward consistency, quality and best practice whilst significantly reducing the amount of time required by their management team in the induction and development of new staff.

    The Outcome

    The content, facilitator and overall leadership programme, that was delivered once a month over a six month period, received an average rating of 9.7 out of 10 by all those who attended. So successful, in fact, was the programme that it was awarded runner up status in the Leadership & Development category at the HRD annual awards.

    The Talent Hub™ learning management system has been rolled out amongst all employees with huge success, and the financial returns experienced by some of the delegates from the innovation projects set for them over the duration of the course were as high as £120,000 in additional revenue generated over just three months.
