At The Recruitment Network we work closely with our partner organisations to offer the best in the way of knowledge, tips and advice for our members, but we also want to extend that to our readers too.At The Recruitment Network we work closely with our partner organisations to offer the best in the way of knowledge, tips and advice for our members, but we also want to extend that to our readers too.

We regularly write and post blog articles for our readers offering insight and vision of some of the biggest topics in the recruitment industry, but so do our partners, so we wanted to share with you some of their wisdom through their articles and events.

Access Group are our newest Gold Partner, and they are the software provider behind market leading recruitment software, Access RDB and now owner of Safe Computing. More than 12,000 UK businesses and not-for-profit organisations use products and services provided by Access to improve their performance, profitability and drive growth, unlocking their business potential through improved business insight.

This week they have posted an article on 4 Ways Your Recruitment Agency can be Proactive with Cybersecurity. This article offers some really simple and easy to action tips to keep your recruitment business safe when it comes to cybersecurity. With the costs of cybercrime rising it is certainly something that you need to be aware of with your recruitment business.

A TRN Gold Partner who needs little introduction is Bullhorn. Joining us at the beginning of this year, they are a wealth of knowledge in the world of recruitment, with their specific recruitment CRM and other software products.

With the current talent shortage that we are facing in the recruitment industry, boosting your candidate pool is definitely something that is desirable for recruiters. A recent blog article from Bullhorn covers some brilliant ideas to get you thinking in 4 Ways to Boost Your Candidate Pool.

Giving your candidates the best experience possible is certainly a way that you can make your recruitment business stand out from the rest. Bullhorn share some favourite tips from recruiting pros in another one of their latest articles on How You Can Make Candidates Feel Special?

The CRM specialists, Bullhorn go through 6 Steps to Better Manager your Candidate Database, which is bound to be useful in the run up to the GDPR deadline, which is fast approaching. Have a read and see what you think.

TRN Gold Partners, Brookson One also have some big news this week. They have just announced that Kevin Green is to join them as a Non-Executive Director from 16th March.

Kevin Green has been the chief executive of the Recruitment & Employment Confederation (REC) since 2008 and it was announced in November 2017 that he was leaving early in 2018 to pursue a portfolio career of non-executive director roles and consultancy.

Along with this exciting news, Brookson are also hosting several webinars that are coming up too. Their next one is on the contracting and will be valuable to anyone who is new to contracting.

Thomas International, who are TRN Gold Partners, released a whitepaper recently on Unlocking the Power of Diversity in your Business. Diversity is a hot topic at the moment, and rightly so. Having a diverse workforce can open doors and minds, which can boost a business to success.

This whitepaper from Thomas is a great read with some really in depth ideas on how you can use and implement diversity in your business.

Along with their whitepaper that Thomas released, they posted on Twitter about an exciting project that they have coming up soon. Will be exciting to find out what that is next week.

Tracey Barrett, of BlueSky PR, has been speaking at our Marketing workshops recently, with the next one coming up on 15th March. BlueSky PR are TRN Silver Partners and post regular, valuable content to their readers that we think is great.

One of their recent articles looked at Why the Edelman Trust Barometer means traditional media is more important than ever. The Edelman trust measures trust across many institutions, sectors and geographies, revealing that the public’s trust of social media is diminishing as a source of news and information. The blog outlines how other methods of media can be useful to bridge this gap in trust.

BlueSky also posted a blog article on How Facebook’s news feed changes will affect your recruitment agency? Facebook, and other social media platforms regularly change their algorithms which affects where your posts will appear in people’s news feeds. This article sets out clearly some of the changes, how they will affect businesses and some ideas on how you can change your tactics to maintain your presence on news feeds.

All too frequently companies do not measure the return on investment from their marketing. At the recent Recruitment Agency Expo at London Olympia, BlueSky managing director Tracey spoke on Getting ROI from your PR. A round up of Tracey’s presentation was posted on their blog and is a really interesting read if you missed it at the Expo.
